As a family-owned and managed company DG Workwear saw steady and consistent growth in the years following its formation in 1984. Early entry was made into the high-visibility clothing market in 1985 as a result of BS 6629 legislation. By the mid 1990s these regulations were superseded by EN certification.
DG Workwear entered the new era of European legislation as a market leader for all types of EN471 high-visibility and EN341 waterproof clothing, and supplies garments to almost every type of organisation including Fire, Police and Ambulance authorities throughout the country. The spring of 1997 saw further certification when the coveted EN 533 flame retardancy was achieved.
2006 sees the 22nd year of successful manufacturing for the company, as it continues to supply the waterproof and high visibility needs of its long standing customers, as well as being pro-active in seeking out new markets. We are proud to be still manufacturing textiles here in the UK and plan to be able to continue to do so for the years to come.
Our manufacturing is now all in the factory in Radcliffe on Trent, with a small satellite unit in the historic Lace Market area of Nottingham where the company began in 1984.
